Second Sunday: Market Tote

Join me at Yarnability on Sunday April 10 at 1:00pm-3:00pm for Second Sunday to knit the Ilene Bag. This mesh tote is exactly what you need for your morning trips to the farmer’s market or a day on the beach.

Choosing a yarn content with a blend of plant fibers, makes it machine washable!

In this class you will learn how to pick up stitches and work a simple lace mesh pattern. Demonstration of 3-needle bind off will also be demonstrated in the class. This pattern is easily adaptable to decrease or increase your finished size.

Pattern: Ilene Bag  Bring your own copy of the pattern to class.

Yarn:  1 skein of Cotton Supreme (solid) and 1 skein of Cotton Supreme Batik

Needles: 24″ circulars US size 5 and 7 or size to obtain gauge

Notions:  stitch markers, scissors, stitch holder

Homework: Using the solid color, complete the base instructions prior to class – knit 29 rows to make stitch pick ups much easier!
