Oops! Fixing Mistakes in Knitting
Oops!
Ready to learn how to fix mistakes in knitting? Whether a refresher or new to fixing mistakes, this class will increase confidence in dealing with those Oops! moments. Instead of a disaster, mistakes can be an opportunity to use newly learned skills.
3 Class dates and Times
- Wednesday June 8 at 6pm-8pm
- Friday June 17 at 1pm-3pm
- Sunday June 19 at 1pm-3pm
Expect to learn about:
- stitch orientation
- stitch recognition in stitch patterns
- “tinking” and “frogging”
- how to fix dropped stitches in garter and stockinette
- how to fix stitch pattern mistakes
Supplies:
- US size 7 or 8 needles
- smooth light colored worsted weight yarn
- small crochet hook (size F or G) or fix it tool
Homework:
- Knit 3 swatches
- 1 swatch: Cast on 20 stitches and knit in garter stitch for 4 inches – leave on the needle and yarn attached
- 2 swatches: Cast on 20 stitches and knit in stockinette stitch for 4 inches – leave on the needle and yarn attached
