Mosaic Crochet – Christmas in July!

Overlay mosaic crochet is a FANTASTIC technique to add to your repertoire of skills!

Julie Johnson, guest instructor and crochet aficionado is back to get you “hooked” on mosaic crochet!

Enjoy one of our 2 hour workshops to learn the basics of overlay mosaic crochet, consisting of single and double crochet stitches.

In this class Julie will teach you:

• overlay mosaic crochet technique
• reading a mosaic crochet chart
• how to secure your ends

Sholach Afghan Materials Needed (must be purchased at Yarnability):

• Afghan Pattern: Sholach Mosaic Christmas Trees  available to purchase on Ravelry. Bring your copy of the pattern to class.
• Yarn: 1 skein of Jewelspun by Sirdar and 1 skein of Perfection worsted weight (solid color)
• Hooks: US H (5.0mm) hook
• Notions: locking stitch markers, scissors, darning needle

Mosaic Tree Skirt Materials Needed (must be purchased at Yarnability):

• Tree Skirt Pattern: Mosaic Tree Skirt available to purchase on Ravelry. Bring your copy of the pattern to class.
• Yarn:  DK or Worsted weight yarn – at least 2 colors.
• Hooks:  US G (4.0mm) for DK or US H (5.0mm) for worsted
• Notions:  locking stitch markers, scissors, darning needle

Skills Needed:

• Class participants MUST be able to Independently chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.

Each class has a 4 student minimum and a 6 student maximum. If less than 4 students are registered, the class will be cancelled. Store policy for class cancellations is located under Classes FAQ located here
