The Weekender by Andrea Mowry has over 8,000 projects loaded into Ravelry. I have wanted to cast this top on for a while. When Plymouth yarn came out with Sea Isle Cotton this Spring I knew it would make a great weekender top with short sleeves!
Sea Isle Cotton is a worsted weight 50/50 blend of organic pima cotton and fine merino wool. This yarn has a chain plied texture with cool marled colors perfect for a summer top. The warmth of the wool will wick away moisture but keep you warm inside air conditioned environments, where the cotton gives you some cool breathability.
The Weekender is written to be an oversized pullover with sleeves. But, leave off the sleeves and it make a great summer top too!
