Shift Along

January 30, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

One of the most popular patterns on Ravelry since its debut in March 2018, has been Andrea Mowry’s The Shift. This pattern brings together 3 or more colors of yarn to create a unique shape and mix of colors.

So, join me at Yarnability on Thursdays or Saturdays in January/February as we work The Shift. I used 3 skeins of Nua sport to create our shop sample as it has a lovely hand. The blend of  linen allows for lightness, the wool gives it warmth, and the yak gives a silky smooth texture.

The great part of this pattern is that you can choose any 3 colors that you love to work this pattern. The more variety, the more eye catching it becomes. But, keep it simple with 3 solids and you still achieve an interesting piece to add to your knitwear accessories.
