Scribbles hats
September 24, 2022 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Join me at Yarnability on Saturday September 10 and 24 at 2pm-4pm to knit the Scribbles Hat. This hat boasts a great technique using knit below to create a zigzag of stitches across the surface of the hat. Flip it inside out and see that it has an optional liner to make this a reversible hat with a completely different look.

The Scribbles Hat fits into our “Back to School” theme with its imitation of crayon marks across a page.

Learning Points:

  • Class 1: folded brim and knit below
  • Class 2: pick up stitches on brim and knit liner
  • Although this class will focus on the folded brim and liner, the pattern does offer the option to knit a ribbed brim and no liner.

Pattern: Scribbles Purchase and bring to class.

Yarn: Written for multiple gauges – fingering, DK, or Worsted. You will need 2 skeins of yarn in your choice of yarn weight. Store sample used Opal Sock in solid and variegated for a reversible hat.

Needles:  Size paired for yarn weight – listed in pattern

Notions: stitch markers

Homework: Purchase yarn at Yarnability for class, cast on and knit brim 3″. Be ready to work folded brim in class.
