Join me on Sunday afternoons to learn how to knit socks! This 3-part class will get you started and finished with a worsted weight sock knitted from the cuff down.
Sundays January 31, February 7, and 14 at 1:00pm-3:00pm
Class Cost:$45 covers all 3 class meetings- in person. (Only 4 seats available per class date/time. Face masks covering both mouth and nose are required during class.)
Supplies Needed: 1 to 2 skeins of worsted weight sock yarn. We suggest Regia 8-Ply sock or Deluxe Stripes from Universal Yarn. Knitting needles size US 5. For circular knitting, use your choice of double pointed needles, 9″ circulars, two circulars, or 32″ circulars for magic loop method.
Pattern: Please bring a copy of the Rye Sock Pattern by Tin Can Knits to class. Pattern is available for free on Ravelry.
Skills Required: Beginner-Intermediate knitting experience. Proficient in knit and purl stitch. Prior experience knitting in the round.
Skills Learned: Sock anatomy, sock yarn choices, measurements, picking up stitches, increases, decreases, grafting
Suggestion: Beginner knitters working in the round are encouraged to use the 9″ circular or the double pointed needles. Magic Loop technique can be used if the knitter has experience with this method. The method will not be taught during this class.

Important! This class will take place IN-PERSON in store. Classes that occur outside of normal business hours will have two separated class tables of 3 seats. Classes that occur during business hours will be limited to one table of 4 seats to maintain safe distancing. Hand sanitizer is available. All students will be required to wear a mask that covers both their mouth and nose throughout the class. No food or drink will be permitted.
