THIS CLASS IS FULL!
In the hottest days of the summer I look for small, portable, and lightweight projects. Needle tatting fits that bill! Join me at Yarnability on Saturdays July 22 through August 12 to learn needle tatting. This 4 week class will get you started on the basics of how to tat.
Tatting is a form of making lace that can be used for doilies, ornaments, edgings for garments, etc. With one simple stitch, many lovely creations can be made. It is fun, easy and portable. Come learn the basics of needle tatting and take home a medallion we will make in class.
Instructor Nancy Bender learned shuttle tatting from her grandmother but later discovered the ease of needle tatting. She loves sharing this craft with others and has been teaching for about 5 years. Like most crafters, Nancy enjoys more than just one; she also does knitting, thread crochet and sewing.
Materials included in your class fee are a tatting needle, thread, and an instruction book.
When: Saturdays July 22, July 29, August 5, and August 12 at 2pm-4pm.
Class size is limited to 6 students. Payment for class is required to secure a space. Class fees cover the scheduled dates as stated above and are non-refundable.
