It’s time for “Socktober”!

Join me on Sunday Saturday afternoons to learn how to knit socks! This 3-part class will get you started and finished with a worsted weight sock knitted from the cuff down.

Sundays Saturdays October 15, 22, and 29 at 2:00pm-4:00pm

Class Cost$60 covers all 3 class meetings.

Yarn: 150 grams of worsted weight sock yarn purchased from Yarnability

Needles:  size US 3 and 5

  • Needle Suggestion: Beginner knitters working in the round are encouraged to use a 9″ circular or double pointed needles. Magic Loop technique or two circulars can be used if the knitter has experience with these methods. These methods will not be taught during this class.

Notions:  Stitch markers, stitch holders, darning needle

Pattern: Please bring a copy of the Rye Sock Pattern by Tin Can Knits to class. Pattern is available for free on Ravelry.

Skills Required: Beginner-Intermediate knitting experience. Proficient in knit and purl stitch. Prior experience knitting in the round.

Skills Learned: Sock anatomy, sock yarn choices, measurements, picking up stitches, increases, decreases, grafting
