“A spontaneously joyful knit, the Rio Calina Cowl by Cat Bordhi combines ribbing and cables in a most delightful way. Knit flat with a short seam to form the cowl, this piece frames your neck in a warm and cuddly manner. The geometry of the seam creates a fold down edge that makes the cowl look more complex than it is. Perhaps the most enchanting aspect of this cowl is that you knit it without being held accountable to specific cable counts and placements. Cat encourages you to be free and to follow the river as it takes you on this journey of delight.”
Join me at Yarnability to learn basic cables. We will discuss how cables are created, which direction they are formed in your knitting, how to read them on a chart, and how to cable without using a cable needle!
