April Showers bring May Flowers. We certainly have had showers. With the month of May starting I always think of planting. So naturally, I also look at my knitting for inspiration.
If I were to choose a yarn that would make me think of flowers, I would say Bamboo Bloom from Universal Yarns. This yarn is a blend of wool, bamboo, and a touch of acrylic. It offers a very attractive thick and thin texture that is most pleasing to the eye. Add to that the variety of colors and you can see why this is a favorite of many knitters and crocheters.
Universal Yarns has combined Bamboo Bloom and Poems to create a gorgeous linen stitch cowl. The Hanasaku Cowl takes 1 skein of each yarn to make the small cowl version. 2 skeins of each will make the larger size great for a double looped cowl or shoulder sized wrap. This pattern is $5 on Ravelry. But if you buy the yarn at Yarnability, the pattern is FREE!
Priced at $12 for Bamboo Bloom and $7.50 for Poems, this is the perfect project right at the $20 price mark!
