To determine if the shop is open: follow on Facebook, check the blog, or just call. If we don’t answer, we aren’t there. To determine if class is cancelled: call or email us. If schools are closed, probably no class, though sometimes we do have class if schools are closed for weather that doesn’t happen or if the condition has cleared by evening.
We’ve formed a Club for sock knitters to provide an opportunity to explore sock knitting more deeply. Bonnie has an innovative sock planned for each month, Apr-Sep. Pictured here is Stitch Surfer, the featured sock for April.
The Sock Club will meet on the first Wednesday of each month, 6-8pm.
I knew a woman who had knit over 100 layettes for baby showers. When asked why she continued with this project, she replied that she always had the best gift at the baby shower. That may be motivation for some of us, and I think we all want babies to start out life with something [...]

When I saw a pic of the mittens in a Martha Stewart magazine I was thumbing through, I was intrigued, especially when I saw the shape of the mittens before seaming. As you may know, I love intrigue and a puzzle, so I set out to knit these. It was really hard to make that [...]
We got in Sprout, a bulky organic cotton. When we looked for a one skein pattern, we saw some bunny hats and I couldn’t resist. I have written up the pattern and it’s available with yarn purchase. We can all have little bunnies in our family now. Note to anyone interested: my 12-year old nephews [...]
